Steven Osborne is one of Britain’s most treasured musicians with an immense depth of musicality and exceptional refinement of expression across diverse repertoire. His numerous awards include The Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumentalist of the Year, two BBC Music Magazine Awards and two Gramophone Awards.
We’re delighted to welcome Steven for his Festival debut in this all Rachmaninov recital chosen to mark the composer’s 150th anniversary. The programme will include both piano Sonatas, each of them titans of the repertoire. Steven Osborne will also be bringing his talk What Does Music Mean to Englefield House on Tuesday 9 May.
